Castle Leslie, Co. Monaghan
What we did
Castle Leslie threw a party for friends and family in their Pavilion marquee to celebrate the launch of Robert O' Byrne's latest book; 'Desmond Leslie (1921-2001) - Biography of an Irish Gentleman'. Desmond was the charismatic and 'very eccentric' father of current owner Sammy Leslie. First came the drinks reception held in the main body of the marquee, where we had set up 16 elegantly dressed Poseur tables with small black and gold candlelit centrepieces.
Behind a grand reveal, Dinner was set to be served to the chosen few later in the evening. High Octane glamour was required to differentiate the shift in proceedings so we dressed the usually ivory walls with black velvet drapes accented by gold twisted rope detail in the Grecian style. Crimson pink up-lighters were angled at the ivory fabric columns left to create a striking backdrop for the VIPs. The tables were draped with floor length black velvet cloths, circled by black covered chairs with antique gold satin sashes and sported centrepieces of candlelit hurricane lamps ringed with a gold oak leaf garland and black velvet roses.
