The Ivory at House of Fraser, Belfast
I just wanted to thank you for the amazing decor in the room on Saturday nite! It looked totally amazing and you certainly exceeded all our expectations. All our guests commented on how well the room looked. I will definitely be recommending Bluemoon to all our friends & family for future events.
Lyndsay & Marc
What we did
Lyndsay and Marc got married in the Bahamas over Christmas and what better way to beat the January blues than to throw a post-wedding, Caribbean themed party for all those left behind.
So, Bluemoon decided to bring the Bahamas back to Belfast and dress up the urban cool Ivory restaurant with vibrant tropical flowers, grasses and exotic palm trees. Guests arrived at the palm-fringed street entrance and took the elevator up to the top floor where they were greeted by groups of tall chrome lanterns tied with Tiffany blue ribbon tails. The main focus in the restaurant is a trio of wooden decorative grilles which were a riot of colourful, silk and paper exotic flowers; anthurium, birds of paradise and showers of orchids. Above the seating booths we placed elegant glass hurricane lamps with gloriosa lily garlands and alternate fuchsia pink or Tiffany blue coloured church candles. All the tables were decked with jewel coloured tea-light holders and added more lanterns for the outside deck.
Finally, we screened off and up-lit a corner of the restaurant creating a stage and dance area. Tropical fish are supplied by the Ivory as standard and the wee fishies seemed totally unfazed by the partying!
