Marquee at Newforge Country Club, Belfast
What we did
The Boobie Committee is made up of a group of friends who have all been affected by cancer either directly or indirectly. It was established eight years ago initially to raise funds for women's cancer charities but in recent years has been extended to include donations to children's cancer funds and cancer support organisations such as Marie Curie and Macmillan Nurses. This year's event was held in an enormous marquee set up in the grounds of New Forge Country Club. 400 of Northern Ireland's beautiful people attended the glamorous event which celebrated James Bond through the ages.
Bluemoon dressed 40 tables with tall up-lit Martini glasses adorned with abseiling commandos, unexploded grenades, AK47's, diving frogmen, depth charges, floating speedboats and hovering helicopters. Other tables sported Casino Royale style crystal cascades with golden SWAT teams mustered at the base! The colour scheme for the marquee was black and gold and carried right through onto walls and entrances. Last but not least we set up an opulent photographic backdrop for the official photographer, Phil Smyth to take portraits on the night.
P.S. The evening raised more than £46,000 - a very good night's work.
